Almost anything you put on a website fits on a shared hosting plan. What differs between providers is not the list of what is permitted — it is what fits inside a resource shared with other people. Here are the answers to three questions we get a lot.
Can I put video and audio on the site?
Yes. Embedding videos, running a gallery, publishing podcast episodes — all of that is an ordinary website and raises no problem.

The difference that decides it. A file somebody downloads now and then is a website. A file dozens of people receive at the same time, continuously, is media distribution — and there shared hosting stops being the right place, not by prohibition but by arithmetic.

Can I run an online radio or TV station?
Yes — and we have a product just for it. Continuous audio or video broadcasting is not done on a hosting plan: it needs a server built for it, holding connections open and managing the playlist, the live sources and the listeners.

Do you have Windows hosting?
We do — and not only VPS. There are three routes, depending on what you need:

If you are not sure which of the two worlds suits your site, the quick rule is in Linux or Windows hosting: which does your site need. In short: WordPress, Joomla, PHP and MySQL live better on Linux; ASP.NET and MSSQL require Windows.
What does not belong on any plan
This part is short and has no exceptions. It is not about resources — it is about legality and not harming others:

When a site starts weighing too much. If your account starts consuming well above what the plan allows for, we do not switch anything off without talking to you. We tell you, we show what is consuming it, and there is nearly always an explanation with a fix — a badly written query, no caching, or a scanner hammering the site.
